All Christians believe in a future kingdom of God, but how much of the church believes that Christ is truly king already? If popular preaching is any indication – the answer is not much. And a quick look at the lives of individuals within the church leads to the same conclusion.
So much of our time is wasted in bondage and blindness, but it shouldn’t be this way. Jesus reigns today. Not in theory, but in reality. The kingdom is here and now, but until the church at large begins to acknowledge that truth – she will remain ineffective.
