Nearing the cross, Jesus faced a lot of scrutiny by the religious elite. But no matter how carefully they plotted, He always glorified God in His response.
In our text today we find Jesus in what seemed like a perfect plan to cause Him to lose favor in the eyes of the people – or at the very least, the government. Once again Jesus left his adversaries in stunned silence, this time in the area of authority.
