Aimed squarely at Pastors, today’s text doesn’t mince words. While all Christians are equal in value, not all are given the same responsibilities.
Pastors/Church Elders are meant to be stewards of the Lord’s household who fulfill two very important functions. Care of the flock & feeding the sheep. There will be other duties that come up along the way but caring & feeding are the priority – and if the flock is abused or starved, you can be sure that retribution will be severe.
Our text doesn’t stop there. All believers have an equal responsibility for the truth that they know. Like it or not, once truth has been revealed to us we are responsible to obey it. This applies across the board – because to whom much is given, much will be required. Join us as we continue verse by verse through Luke’s gospel!
