A new year brings another round of church wide programs. Congregational fasts, prayer programs, Bible reading & giving initiatives while good – accomplish nothing when done for the wrong reasons.
How often do Christians start a new year out doing all sorts of things, and end the year without gaining any ground – only to do the same thing in the next new year? Unrealistic expectations can lead to all kinds of problems in a church & in an individual’s life that should have been avoided. Like using the right tool for the wrong job, we end up with not much to show for all the work we’ve done.
The church needs to get off the merry go round. If this new year finds you no more mature than last, dealing with the same sin, dealing with the same struggles with the flesh, or wondering how the church ended up where it currently is – this one is for you. Join us as we sound the alarm, let’s do things differently this time around.
