In the Old Testament the idea of One True God is communicated clearly. But then you begin to read about another being that is equal to Yahweh, who appears in different ways. The “word” the “name” the “angel” who appear to have the same attributes as Yahweh.
What is all of this? The pre incarnate Christ.
The idea of a Godhead is everywhere in the Old Testament. Far from a new addition to the fledgling Christian faith, or an invention of a council – this truth of One God, separate persons, equal to each other is all over the pages of the Old Testament.
